34 years ago, on Feb 14, 1990, Voyager 1 took this image of the "Pale Blue Dot" from 6 billion km away, minutes before its cameras were shut off forever.
Carl Sagan, who played a key role in the mission wrote -
"To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.”
