Something I wrote to a friend:

"As I understand your wife, based on what you've told me, she's the one who's best suited to be a workhorse.

Pragmatic type, wants order, and is the one who created structure around you.

Women can be an enormous resource. My mother kind of created our family. She already built a house when dad met her. She acted like a diplomat. Took a lot of initiative. Everything collapsed when she died. Me, dad and my sister barely talk now. She was the glue."
