I went outside tonight to take a short look at the stars. In Cassiopeia, I saw a reddish-looking star. I thought it might be Caph, but the color is wrong. It must be Schedar.

I got this dial chart thing that helps with identifying what one is looking at. Obstacles include buildings, trees, utility infrastructure, even outdoor lighting.
