The Jonesboro junior high school shooting has been pretty much forgotten after Columbine, but Jonesboro has a personal connection. A friend was moving to that area (en route with their Uhaul the day the shooting happened) with their youngest son. So they arrived with their elementary school child within days after the event.

I've long since lost track of the family, but both 2nd son and half son remember the kid from school. And note, I know they moved somewhere in the vicinity of Jonesboro, AR, but I do not know whether they were in the same school district / in the town itself or any such details.
