   Oh! So the reason I've been receiving electricity disconnection notices but never the original bills was because I was autorecruited to e-billing without my knowledge. Thanks.

     In my household, we had a company that billed us every three months. They sent their bills by e-mail, and the e-mails contained no details, but pdfs were attached -- blank pdfs.

     As you can imagine, problems eventually arose.

     I prefer to receive my bills by the post.

     @gemlog No, I applied for paper, so maybe my next bill will still be in the email, but after that I'm getting paper.

     @gemlog I could have created a folder for super important email and filtered electric bills to go there.

     But that would have required me to know that I would be getting electric bills in my email to begin with.

     @gemlog Paper bills now applied for.

     If it arrives in my paper mailbox it is the only thing in the paper mailbox. If it arrives in my email it is a drop in the ocean.

     I searched for the electricity company's name and it turns out I have been receiving a bill every two months.
