S called me to tell me that a particular office is looking for help. It's an office I'd normally be happy to go to (they're pretty picky about who goes there), but right now isn't the time for me to be travelling out of state.
Maybe Kenny will get the call. I'm pretty sure they won't call K.
In other news, I need to pick a date, so I can start the notifications six months before end of employment. I'm not retiring ... I just need to work somewhere that better fits my needs.
$EMPLOYER is "flexible" to the max, but that flexibility is only one direction: meeting their needs no matter how it affects the employee. Almost twenty years ago, I could afford to work like that. Now I cannot afford it.

I'm pretty sure Mark isn't staying with $EMPLOYER either. He's got a newish baby and wants to work somewhere close to home.
