Hardly anyone will admit that they "wouldn't vote for a woman". What they mean is, they'd vote for some hypothetical woman, sure... but any *actual* woman candidate you offer? They have some reason why they won't vote for *her*.
Every. Single. One.
It's something we saw re: Clinton, Warren, and others. I'm sure it'd hold true for queer candidates too. βΉ
