Tenacity is a fork of #Audacity, created after Audacity was taken over by MUSE and opt-out telemetry / tracking was added. MUSE / Audacity has since changed it to be opt-in, and behind a compile time flag, but damaged trust is difficult to overcome.

I currently use OcenAudio, but certain things I easily did in Audacity aren't so easy now.

Hopefully, Tenacity will soon be in Debian / Ubuntu, Fedora, OpenSuse, and Chocolatey repositories.
