Depressing to discover that under the latest MacOS, even after forcing the re-indexing of the contents of my entire hard drive, I can find dozens of examples of plain text files containing particular words that don’t show up in Spotlight searches for files containing those words.

Like, searching for a term in quotes doesn’t work. Wtf? This is basic search syntax. Quotes means “find this phrase exactly” and now spotlight interprets it as “find the phrase but only if it appears in quotes.” Mind boggling.
