@bigzaphod I can’t say what it is for anyone else, but as I moved into middle age my nostalgia and desire to preserve things from my childhood has gone through the roof. Things like replacing old D&D hardcovers that someone swiped, or digitizing a mix tape someone made for me in 8th grade. Just a really potent urge.

I've woken up from dreams where I had a complete Commodore 64 setup again, for example, and got super disappointed when I realized it wasn't real. Another where I got that Amiga I always wanted to get when I was a kid but could never afford. That sort of thing. Kinda weird.
