     I'm not saying "GitHub is bad" or "don't use GitHub" -- it's a great platform and if it solves your problem, totally go ahead and use it. I'm just saying that it's a business and at some point someone is going to crunch some numbers and say "hey, these guys are popular and it would be nice if they brought in more revenue," and this is how enshittification starts.

     It's ok, not everyone needs to say it. I'll say it:

     Github is bad. Don't use github. Open Source software needs Open Source tools. This was true before Microsoft and it's even more true after the acquisition, and even more even more true after they snagged npm.org as well ... and created and popularized VS Code ... and CoPilot ... it goes on.

     Corporations are not friends, and this one is holding the world of software freedom hostage.

     @monsieuricon It *is* a bad platform. Its terms of use are discriminatory, it infringes the copyright of developers, it actively fights free software.

     Noone in their right mind should be using GitHub.
