   @BikeBaroness @lily this to me is the stronger aspect of the community management model of the fediverse, especially for marginalized and heavily targeted groups.

     Update:

     mastodon.social did the work to handle the spam accounts and we are removing the ‘limit’.

     If you see any more come through that we don’t catch, please report them so we can take action. Thanks y’all! 💜

     #OutdoorsLGBT has put mastodon.social on temporary ‘limit’ due to a huge influx of bot spam.

     This does not affect people you currently follow or people that follow you. It prevents mastodon.social posts from showing in your federated timeline and accounts you don’t follow won’t be able to message you. This limit is temporary until they sort out their spam situation. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
