The famous line, "Houston, we have a problem" is actually...a misquote.

On this day in 1970, after an oxygen tank aboard Apollo 13 exploded, causing the spacecraft to lose most of its oxygen and electrical power, astronaut Jack Swigert reported: "Houston, we've had a problem".

The line was changed for the 1995 film Apollo 13 because the real quote "wasn't as dramatic".
