THREDDY 2022 YEAR IN REVIEW!
I went back through the 66 comics I created in 2022 and picked some highlights. I grouped them into 6 subjects.
Let's get started! β¬οΈ
That concludes the Threddy 2022 Year in Review!
I'm really proud of the comic this year. And I've started working on new techniques and ideas for 2023 that I'm thrilled about. I cannot wait to get started on them.
As the year closes, I'd like to wish everyone happiness and health!
See you in 2023!
And at number 1:
"Jargon Jar"
I love this comic for so many reasons and I consider it to be a milestone in the series.
This concept took shape as a set of tweets several years ago. I was *so* glad that I could finally capture it in comic form.
It was also fully drawn (no photo background), which is a technique I'll be using in the future.
This is my favorite of the year! All around a great effort that I'm proud of.
At number 3:
"Twitter Meltdown"
My aim is to focus on workplace satire with the comics, but sometimes current events are too large to ignore. This was true of the Twitter situation in the latter half of 2022.
At number 2:
"Mastodon Beginnings"
As I started drifting away from Twitter, I found a lovely platform in Mastodon. And I encountered (and observed) all of the typical rookie mistakes. I couldn't *not* make comics about these.
At number 5:
"Data"
At work I spend a *lot* of time with data - querying, analyzing, driving action. Data is a common subject in the comics.
At number 4:
"Meetings"
This is a comic about the workplace, and what's more common in the workplace than meetings?
At number 6:
"Introductions"
After several years of there being only Threddy and Freddy in the comics, in 2022 I introduced two new characters - Sam the Security Cat, and Bee.
