     @BakerRL75 I can imagine. The weirdest part of this (aside from being so archaic) is that parents weren't seeking a book ban, it was prompted by the school board members themselves. Parents wanted the board to focus on achievement gaps.

     @John16280 @geekaren I don't think it's being afraid, I think it's a matter of knowing when and how to fuck with people in the biggest way possible and be able to justify it plausibly with a straight face. This is elementary school bullying on a state-wide scale.
