@ZachWeinersmith I would not be surprised at all to learn that some of the big names in pharma put money behind this messaging, tying fentanyl to a reliable bogeyman (immigration) rather than the enormous and catastrophic opioid dependency they created here in the US.

I don't actually understand what the specific claim is there. Like, being most generous... do they mean increasing legal immigration would make drug smuggling easier? That people south of the border are more into drugs and will bring that culture? Like, what's the particular notion they're scared of?
