   Printing side-by-side reviews of “Wizardry” and “Akalabeth” (the predecessor of Ultima) in this September 1982 issue of Dragon Magazine is the computer gaming equivalent of reviewing “Please Please Me” and “The Rolling Stones” in the same column.

     They loved Wizardry and hated Akalabeth, but Ultima would eventually dominate the market. “Crush, Crumble, and Chomp” is reviewed on the next page! Epyx took out a full page ad at the beginning of the issue. What a golden age for this stuff.

     @darrelplant I just recently saw the review of that when I was hunting through an old issue for something else! I can barely (like, way on the edge of my memory) recall seeing a copy at my local game shop, once upon a time.
