@inscius theoretically, we do all sports, including motor sports. It's hard to keep track of everyone in the fediverse!

My first #HPR. Let me know if you want more! http://hackerpublicradio.org/eps.php?id=1682 -- If you want more, let me know what!

Thanks mucho for the mention of #AmateurZen! I can stand to hear more details on ANY of it. Most interesting was your idea of using Sportazine constituents as a force to pressure large video providers towards flash-alternatives. I'm wondering if that is at all what NEF aims to do on a more large scale? Yes...any further elaboration on what YOU see as the primary directives for NEF would be music to my ears :)
In other news...I'm broke as shit too, I do hope that both you and I can figure out some better ways to squeeze a few dollars out of these principled passions.

Unfortunately, the NEF Bylaws are too long to post as text here. I figured I had sent them to you. Anyway, SECTION III: PURPOSES is as follows:
The purposes for which this corporation has been organized are as follows:
(1) To endeavor to improve the quality of currently existing publicly available Free Culture works;
(2) To foster, promote and increase access to public interest content available to the
general public and promote the general right to use, change or distribute cultural works;
(3) To solicit, collect and otherwise raise money and to expend such funds in furtherance of the goals and activities of the Corporation;
(4) To promote the use, development, and improvement of Free Culture works; and
(5) To solicit, receive and maintain, invest and reinvest funds of real and personal property and to contribute its income and so much of the principal, in and as deemed advisable, for the purposes provided in (a) through (d) of Article III of these ByLaws.
-
Not that this helps you at present, but since there are different definitions: "For the purposes of these By-Laws, Free Culture is defined as set forth in the Netizen Empowerment Federation, Inc. Articles of Incorporation."
-
as it turns out the articles of incorporation are also much too long to post here

http://piratepad.net/nefarticles and http://piratepad.net/nefbylaws -- Personally, I would like to add something about sustainability as well, but I fear the IRS won't like that. We may end up having to be a state non-profit and not a federal non-profit the way the IRS thinks of free culture. My understanding is that using the -NC tag would actually help us with the IRS, but we don't need to worry about that until we have the money to actually file with the IRS and the time to actually do the proper book keeping, which won't likely be until summer 2016 at the earliest.
