@euan Hello 👋. Nice to #welcome you here. Hope you had a good start so far... and had time to mingle with many interesting people. Thanks for the hint. Unfortunately we don't know of any possibility to adjust this afterwards. But we are happy to find @aliceroberts in #Fediverse .
@openscience I can see you folk were early adopters at Mastodon 😀! Great to connect.
I wondered if you could possibly edit this pinned post to put on the good Prof Robert’s Mastodon address rather than Twitter? @aliceroberts
@openscience It's not completely clear to me what you mean to say by "Science must be opened". Scientific knowledge was and is "open", as scientists use to publish in refereed journals and to critically discuss their results at conferences. (Science) journalists pick up the most relevant discoveries/results from research and report them in newspapers, on TV and other media (incl. social media). Thus scientific knowledge is shared with everyone interested and willing to read or listen.
@openscience
Yep.
Need to find if Alice is on Mastodon and if #humanism is represented.
@openscience Agreed though, sadly, even when it is explained and proven there is a vocal element who choose to think it’s all just a conspiracy theory.
