$EMPLOYER: schedules a paid online meeting.
Me: Yes, I'll be there. Two hours? Yes.
$EMPLOYER, on meeting day: We're cutting the time to one hour and hosting it on $EXTERNAL_PLATFORM
Me: Yes, I guess, but I was really looking forward to the full amount. It wouldn't pay any bills, but it would surely help with buying some #yogurt / #yoghurt and some decaf #coffee.

The whole thing was the management blabbering about their more people-centric policies, then a certain class of employees asking whether these policies would extend to them, and getting noncommittal answers.
I don't have the resources or the will to participate (I'm trying to sever connection with this agency, and today's conference showed me once again that this is the right course.) but someone needs to escalate the struggle to an embarrassing public political and legal spat, with daily press conferences where employees tell their tales. I have a feeling that $EMPLOYER management will suddenly find that they intended all along to address and resolve employee grievances.
