   PSA: When you're redacting personal information from a document, be sure to redact anything that you might not understand, especially barcodes, QR codes, and long strings of digits and letters. These may contain sensitive information that you can't see with the naked eye but someone can still decode it easily.

   Also, use a solid colour fill, and do not use layers.

     @meena I mean, it can reveal your printer's serial number, but that's a problem in a different threat model than where revealing a boarding pass is.

     @samgai It happens with plaintext too. People sometimes post helpful curl traces and don't always realize that an Authorization header might contain cleartext credentials, it's only Base64-encoded so they don't notice.
