Anyone know of an XMPP server that is accepting registrations, which does NOT need a captcha?

@Truck not directly, but anyone who signs up to the Mastodon instance at https://social.chinwag.org/ gets an XMPP account automatically to match and there's no captcha on that.
@Truck I can't tell the... Tone is the wrong word, can't think of the right one right now, sorry... So I'm going to go on sysadmin autopilot here because I just got up.
Contact lists. Omemo keying information. User defined notes. MUC memberships (and configs for ones the user set up). Avatars. XEP settings.
And, you know, the user database.
All stuff you don't want to have to set up all over again. Due diligence and caretaking of something other people use.
@Truck I can hook a few folks up with accounts on mine (server's been around for a couple of years now, backed up daily, if it helps).
@drwho Hmm. Yes. Backups. I wonder if that's important or not...
sometimes I like to think of chat as 'ephemeral' and email as 'lasting...'
