@fribbledom this is why I've largely given up on Element, it's not a terrible chat protocol but the clients are so heavyweight in comparison to e.g. Conversations for XMPP

@fribbledom Yeah I was using Matrix with just one person who was running her own home server. Her server chewed through literally of all the RAM despite it being used between just us, I think.
SchildiChat is a fork of Element that don't eat that much ram.
