   Embarrassing but kind of expected that an investor and Reddit founder with an NFT ape hexagon avatar (1) didn't know about poison pills and (2) dismisses them as "not a good look".

     @thamesynne It's unexpected that the page isn't working for you; I would have guessed that Nitter would work in more browsers than Twitter would.

     @clacke The argument is that poison pills are used to entrench underperforming management. But nowadays, the suitor could respond by seeking to nominate a replacement board of directors (who would disarm the poison pill), possibly combined with a direct to stockholders tender offer.

     This the poison pill: The board has activated a shareholders' rights plan that will offer shares to existing shareholders at a discount, should any one shareholder acquire 15% of the company.
