@aryak @nerdtronics I'm guessing being a conscript isn't public data to github, but having worked for some Russian software firm might be?

  @nerdtronics seems not all are banned. one of the devs i follow is currently conscripted to the russian military but isnt banned. or maybe this is a gradual process idk

  This is actually really messed up, github is now removing accounts of developers that are ethnically Russian because of "US trade sactions"??!! Some of the users aren't even working for said sanctioned companies. I will never have an account with github, there are acting no different than YouTube or twitter. 🤦♂️
