If the #US goal is to crush #Russia's #economy with #sanctions and isolation, why is #Europe in an economic free fall instead?

betabug... Sascha Welter (betabug@mastodon.sdf.org)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Apr-2022 12:15:30 UTC betabug... Sascha Welter @jack "Impressive" piece of russian propaganda. Complete with a news site "made by template", no contact information, and set up in July 2021. Oh and paypal blocked whatever "support account" they had set up.

jack (jack@mastodon.sdf.org)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Apr-2022 12:15:34 UTC jack @betabug ...yeah, but there's nevertheless some truth to it. #US #economy is getting better, #EU is getting worse.
For example, albeit #inflation in the US is sill getting worse, it slowed down significantly since the beginning of the war.

betabug... Sascha Welter (betabug@mastodon.sdf.org)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Apr-2022 12:15:34 UTC betabug... Sascha Welter @jack It's all bullsh*t: throwing all kind of sh*t on the wall and hoping something will stick.
You can take practically every sentence, analyse and refute it. E.g. energy prices + inflation started way before the war, "empty shelves" if any, are due to supply issues from covid... but it's so much that a naive reader could think "there is some truth to it". Which is what they are aiming for. Propaganda.

betabug... Sascha Welter (betabug@mastodon.sdf.org)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Apr-2022 12:16:08 UTC betabug... Sascha Welter @jack Here in Greece there is no shortage of wheat flour in the supermarket. Maybe "lazy Germans" are simply bad at capitalism? LOL.
But yeah, there is a WAR going on. People are killed, 4 Millions had to flee Ukraine, that will cost a lot to support them. Weapons cost millions and are burned up like matches. Wheat can't be easily shipped out of Ukraine now. I don't need a russian paid propagandist to tell me all that. It's after all the russian war that caused these things.

jack (jack@mastodon.sdf.org)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Apr-2022 12:16:09 UTC jack @betabug There were empty shelves during #COVID19 of course, but e.g. the shortage of corn #oil and wheat #flour is directly related to the #war in #Ukraine.

jack (jack@mastodon.sdf.org)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Apr-2022 12:16:47 UTC jack @betabug The point is, how to stop #Putin and have #peace. That would be the natural interest of both #EU and #Ukraine.
But not necessarily that of the #USA.

betabug... Sascha Welter (betabug@mastodon.sdf.org)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Apr-2022 12:16:47 UTC betabug... Sascha Welter @jack The claim of that "article" is that these things are caused by the *sanctions*, which the USA forces on the poor Europeans.
In fact these things are caused by the *war* itself. There are no sanctions on Ukrainian wheat.
That is the lie propagated by these bloodsuckers from that site.
Stop the russian war machine and get your wheat and sunflower oil back.
