This reminds me: I've been dabbling with incorporating some more ethical food options into my diet. I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have. Trying to keep it relatively economical.

I figured out how to eat like 18 years ago and so I'm both pretty out of date and currently feeding myself as a working dad.
What kind of food options are you thinking? One of the larger pieces of advice I got as an early vegetarian was to look at "food eaten by peasants in places where meat was scarce". So this usually meant south India (in the lower meat areas), Vietnam, certain parts of China, and so on.
I think learning to cook with tempeh and tofu is a good idea in general, because it tasty, and seitan isn't as good for you, but it's really damn tasty (seitan chicken wings are my current craving).
I dunno. been a while since I thought hard about this
