In the US, extremist Christians calling themselves "pro-life" are making it so that pregnant people must consider if they seek medical help if they need it or not, because they could be charged for attempted murder if someone thinks they injured or poisoned themselves trying to end the pregnancy.

I wish this were fiction. It certainly is dystopian.
