Organizing people to work together gets a lot easier when you realize that people don't have to engage with everyone else adversarially.
When people realize they can only control themselves, and that if they clearly and directly communicate their wants and needs, and accept what other people tell them, people tend to want to help each other.
People don't like helping each other if they don't feel like they have an option.
If people feel like they have a choice in helping each other, they become much more willing to do so.
