   It's.... hmm.

   I can see turning the wheel of buttons into a weird touchscreen wheel, but what's with then dividing that up into chunks? And that glowy white strip right where you don't need it in your eyes?

   The TOS bridge always has this conflict between the keyboard wheel and the long line of monitors which I think would give you massive eyestrain in practice. They haven't fixed that, sadly.

     Honestly WHY WHY does everyone in the Future ALWAYS want to clip the corners diagonally off their nice rectangular screens? What do they think that will get them?

     I know it looks cool but you're just causing your UX designers massive pain by doing that. You know they're just gonna inset a rectangle inside your weirdly shaped window and then you'll have two UX problems.

     Flattening the lower monitors (and turning them from eight into four) just makes them feel cramped.

     Bringing the upper monitors down towards seated eyelevel is probably a plus, but the bevelled edges of them is ARRRGH THAT IS NOT HOW SCREENS WORK HAVE YOU EVER DONE WEB LAYOUT ARRRGH

     I feel if you wanted to make the TOS stations more usable by a single chair, you'd have to indent them a bit. Turn them from a straight bench into left, centre, right stations.

     I mean if your VDU is actually also a load-bearing pressure bulkhead, then YES you have a justifiable reason to bevel the corners.

     If it's not, then you don't.

     But bevelled corners on all the screens just look so pretty. It's a whole anime thing too.
