   people: you should use platforms like Terra, Solana, Cardano et al. because they're third-generation platforms. the newest/best tech will win out.

   me: normally, i'd agree with you, but knowing what i know about markets, crowds and momentum, something tells me Bitcoin and Ethereum are gonna stick around for a LONG time.

     @thor the problem is that they're inferior currencies, especially bitcoin.

     @thor lindy effect. Also anything really worth having on these platforms will be back ported via soft forks after it is 100% proven safe. A lot of projects are basically just subsidizing r&d for bitcoin.
