Santa Claes 🇸🇪ðŸ‡ðŸ‡°ðŸŽ… (clacke@libranet.de)'s status on Thursday, 17-Mar-2022 06:54:20 UTC Santa Claes 🇸🇪ðŸ‡ðŸ‡°ðŸŽ… @loke Estimates of the full extent of cases, reported and unreported, range from 17% to 50% of the population. Clearly we can't all go to Penny Bay.
But coronavirus.gov.hk is very thin on information on how mass testing will happen and how positive cases will be managed.-

That cannot be explained with the "dry tinder" effect, as Singapore has had similar low case numbers over the last two years.

Elias MÃ¥rtenson (loke@functional.cafe)'s status on Friday, 18-Mar-2022 20:56:47 UTC Elias MÃ¥rtenson @clacke also with omicron I have think you only test positive for an short period of time, so even mass testing will only give a partial result. Although statistical analysis will probably give more useful information.
It seems to me that when omicron hits, it basically infects everyone that can be infected very quickly which seems to be what happened in both HK and SG. If that's true, then things should hopefully be much better within a couple of months.

Elias MÃ¥rtenson (loke@functional.cafe)'s status on Saturday, 19-Mar-2022 08:42:15 UTC Elias MÃ¥rtenson @clacke I suspect that Singapore had much larger numbers of unreported cases. Doesn't HK so mass testing? Singapore never did that, and even if you test positive using an ART test, there is no requirement to report it, and you're just supposed to stay home for a few days. All those cases are never seen in the statistics of course
