  @clacke @icedquinn @strypey So the Iraqis and Afghans never elected any legitimate leaders? They were both under military occupations by the US for decades during their elections.
  
  It may be hard to believe, but there are a lot of pro-Russian people in Eastern Europe. An entire province of Moldova broke off to stand with Russia (I've been to the Moldovan Transnesterian border)

  Simple test for this. Did those leaders, their militaries, or any of the governing apparatus set up around them, survive US departure?
