Devine Lu Linvega (neauoire@merveilles.town)'s status on Sunday, 13-Feb-2022 08:29:48 UTC Devine Lu Linvega @metkis Swift was terrible, not worth mentioning I think.
Everything about forth is interesting coming from 6502. Asm makes you realize that programs can be simple, forth makes you realize that programs can be simple, but also have their source code readable.
Uxn is basically the best of both world, near 1:1 bytecode from forth.

dwardoric@chaos.social's status on Sunday, 13-Feb-2022 08:30:05 UTC dwardoric @neauoire @metkis I loved 6502 assembler (did it on 6510 (C64) to be correct) but doing larger projects was very cumbersome. Forth was about 10 times slower at that time but more readable and still way faster than Basic. ;-)
There is still an actively maintained Forth (volksFORTH) for the C64.Santa Claes 🇸🇪🇭🇰🎅 likes this. -
