@martin The way we did back in the days: Type the offer on the telex machine, which produced the paper strip with Baudot code. Get approval from boss and if approved, take the paper strip to the telex, dial the number of the customer and send the telex by feeding the paper strip instead of typing. c@xriss@troet.cafe
@jwildeboer@martin I was a radio signalist in the Royal Swedish Navy just before the turn of the century/millennium.
We had some civilian systems including a MariTex, which was a special-purpose rack-mounted laptop with an MS-DOS TUI application for sending 5-bit Telex over shortwave and/or over geostationary satellites, don't remember for sure which.
