   Once again, someone on the #RC2014 mailing list mentioned a desire for a convenient video board for the computer.

   Once again, I saw 15 different solutions in the thread. Most of these mentions were for projects run by different people, so it's not like these folks were touting their own projects.

   Once again, not one mention of the VDC-II project. Not even to say that it was incomplete.

   I'm pretty sure I'm just, like, invisible to greater society or something. While I'm not exactly out there looking for fame or fortune, it would be nice to know that I'm materially contributing to a greater community every now and again, you know?

   Shit like this just pisses me off and really leaves me in a sour mood.

     I just got a reply back from the OP of the thread. He was interested more in the journey of constructing a 6845-based video card specifically, and less in a complete solution.

     At least I got a response back! I mean, literally, it's a first since I even started the project! Go me?

     @vertigo Is 656x/856x simply a good starting point for a convenient video board? Is that why you picked it?
     
     I admit I haven't looked deeply into your work, but I always figured the VDC-II was something for a more specific purpose, continuing the C64 legacy or something.
