     @timttmy Agreed! I joined the Edinburgh Science Festival mailing list a few years ago to keep up to date with what was coming (an annual event with loads of talks, demos and events). I got an email from them saying they were deleting my subscription because I never "opened my mail" (aka downloaded the pixel, which my mailer is configured not to do). I'm reluctant to ever go to this festival in the future...
