Do you remember that there is a commit-ish syntax that finds the commit based on the title? I remember that it exists, but not the syntax.

The syntax is
<committish>^{/<regex>}
.
There's also a syntax :/<regex>
but that searches from all your branch tips, which seems absolutely bonkers. You never know what commit you'll end up with unless our search is very specific.
I'll probably be using HEAD^{/<regex>}
a whole lot from now on.
