Off today, but met a subordinate for lunch to discuss some oddities of the evaluation process and how to give him an accurate rating. He spent so much time flitting from topic to topic that nothing was resolved.

Trying to finish his evaluation tonight, so it is done before he gets on a plane tomorrow.
Kenny’s assignment just ended and he received his own evaluation today. He called with questions about the process and scoring. He got ‘meets expectations’, but when he saw the numeric score, he said it was barely above unsatisfactory. I explained the process and scoring, and talked about deficiencies that need to be rectified.
I encouraged him to contact the particular subset of HR that handles this and leave comments about the process.

Weirdest thing is that another subordinate left yesterday, but his evaluation never unlocked on the site, so I could not evaluate him. Some time tomorrow, they’ll update the org chart, moving him off my screen entirely.

All of this is a subset of the “a node within another node, which is a child node” discussions that happened upstairs when I was working in #PR. It turned out that they were building an HR module.
“This is that ...”.

My supervisor, who also left that day, evaluated the subordinate. That’s why he never showed as evaluateable for me.
