@mangeurdenuage I've seen people discussing the Twitter conversation that started this. No, math is not biased. Math is a way of thinking rigorously about the universe and the way various things behave. It abstracts away superfluous details in order to enable clarity. (It does extend this to model special universes that may or may not actually exist.)
That someone could argue that "2 + 2 = 5" if you're non-white is degrading to those of us who are non-white. Does he think we cannot count rocks or cars or buildings to develop a foundation for numeracy? This is up to parents and grandparents, but it has to be a priority (ahead of recreational intoxicants, TV, Facebook, politics, and hangout time).

Honestly, I think "2 + 2 = 5 if you're non-white" would be called racism if not for the fact that most of the proponents are Black.
