Someone asked me whether I think hand-washing changes would be permanent. Answer: I doubt it. People who endangered the health of themselves and others by not washing their hands before the #COVID-19 outbreak are not generally going to suddenly and permanently be aware of the possibility of sickening someone.
If they briefly changed their behaviors, one might expect it to stick, but I sincerely wonder how many of those folks are handwashing when no one else is in the facilities.
(One place I worked, I estimated that 60% of men did not even pretend to wash their hands, and another 20% pretended to do so, but did not actually wash. Based solely on sounds ... if you drink a lot of coffee, you become a frequent visitor to the men's room and you learn what handwashing sounds like.)
