LinuxWalt (@lnxw48a1) {3EB165E0-5BB1-45D2-9E7D-93B31821F864} (lnxw48a1@nu.federati.net)'s status on Monday, 02-Sep-2019 13:48:16 UTC LinuxWalt (@lnxw48a1) {3EB165E0-5BB1-45D2-9E7D-93B31821F864} Looking at the #NOAA / #NHC site, https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ , I see #Hurricane Dorian is still lashing the Bahamas with wind speeds of 185MPH (that’s about 300km/h) gusting up to 200MPH (that’s about 325km/h) and storm surge up to 23 feet (that’s about 7 meters).
For #FL, it looks like the storm center will be North of Miami, but a storm is not a dot. It is an irregular roundish spiral-like area that can be hundreds of miles across. Nearly all of Florida (and parts of #GA, #SC, #NC, #VA) is likely to face some part of this storm.
On the West Coast, #TropStorm Julliette is heading away from land, so its progrssion toward hurricane status should not be of major importance.-
