We had VPN issues yesterday, but if she said Wednesday or Thursday and you didn't hear anything, I would definitely check-in.

Did you follow-up with Nik about JFrog? I think JFrog is a little more open to people moving to work. That's what Nik did. I hope I'm wrong about Perforce, and the new management, but I just saw a new job listing that suggesting that things haven't changed (different team though, so who knows)

my manager has an interview today, so that's probably not good news, but we will see

last time this happened (just 3-4 months ago) they interviewed a ton of people and we kept getting all these false indications that things were getting close, so who knows.

@kai I'm looking for someone to be the region head for Northeast (CT, MA, ME, NH, NY State, RI, VT) for the Creative Commons Community Music Awards. It solely consists of picking an Artist of the Year. Do you know anyone that would be interested? We have some other regions available too, if you know people that might be interested in another region.
I haven't heard anything new about the position.

Nik's not happy at JFrog, but I still think you should apply there, or at least talk to Nik about why he's not happy and see if his reasons seem valid to you if you're serious about getting out of Buffalo.
He's an immigrant and my personal opinion is he just isn't going to be happy here and needs to move back to Europe.

We hired someone, but if we're smart, we'll be hiring someone else soon.
Also, I suspect we're going to keep hiring in Minneapolis no matter what our "official" policy is, so if you get another call, you might try saying you would prefer Minneapolis.
In all honesty, I am shocked we didn't hire someone in Alameda for the morale of the people in Alameda. It's all about the $, I guess...

Minneapolis is awesome. Not sure why you wouldn't want to live here, particularly when moving from Buffalo.

well, Alameda isn't Los Angeles. I have never been to LA, but I have heard it is a crap #cycling city. Minneapolis, on the other hand, is often rated in the top 2, if not #1, in cycling.
It can be absolutely bonkers cold here occassionally, but that doesn't stop us from cycling. Just put on another layer. :)
