Between the $EMPLOYER for LinuxWalt and the people at the Puzzle Palace, the computing landscape is frankly terrifying. Given reproducible computing by Debian and OpenPOWER by IBM with a supply chain that hasn't been tampered with you *might* get a computer that would be on the path to being "safe". Forget "Defective By Design" as we've got some actively user-hostile bits on the market these days.
