Speaking as myself and not as a maintainer of any Mastodon client I might be maintaining:

I know there has been call for Mastodon clients to actively block gab and it's domains. I respect those decisions. Sadly my main language for my projects is in Python which means the source is the runtime code. So anything that I put in there to block gab will be trivial to remove.
