My boss is out the next week. I was going to send in what I suppose is an ultimatum. Now I will need to rewrite for bosses boss, I think. Better than waiting a week (and a day), I think

@musicman I’m not big on ultimatums. If the situation is intolerable, just find another job. If they ask why you’re leaving in an exit interview, you can give them some areas they need to improve.
I just think some people are stubborn and will dig in their heels because of an ultimatum, but might be willing to change if the same issue was suggested for improvement by a soon-to-be former employee.

@lnxw48a1 I've already asked for some of this, but we just changed management. It's only an ultimatum to the extent that there's a time element to it.

the fact that I'm our #3 tech globally (based on cases closed, which isn't the only metric of course) after less than a year and a half here probably gives me leverage.
In any case, I have been granted the ability to work from home twice this week and twice next week. Marvin has his appointment on July 5 which will decide whether he lives or dies (that, of course, assumes he makes it that long, which is not at all certain).
We will see what happens with my stress levels after that and of course the two days off.
