I am not sure what it is about this time of year. It may be the heat living on the 5th floor, while we are still trying to be environmentally friendly without AC. I don't remember this time of year being a problem in the far past, but in recent years...
The year we were in Cincinnati, when the temps would have been higher, it was around Mother's Day I quit my job. My resignation wasn't accepted and I stayed on a bit longer.
Two years ago I don't remember there being a specific problem, but I know I was overwhelmed with wedding and move stuff. I know I thought once all the renovations and wedding stuff was over things would calm down.
Last year, I put aside the Creative Commons Community Music Awards and Music Manumit. Again, Mike just told me to take some time with blocSonic.
Now, I've hit my limit with Marvin and although he doesn't have long for this world, there is no telling how long it will be. 4 months? 5 months? My best friend in the Cities is moving to California, and although this is an opportunity to get some friends I have more in common with, but I do think it is taking its toll emotionally. The obvious person for me to cycle with is never available working on his income property and further refuses to ride on rode, which would be best for me for a variety of reasons. Another obvious person won't bike in the rain or cold. It's Minnesota. That basically means he's biking June through August some years. I suppose I could join a cycling club. I'm not really into paying to cycle when the trails are free, but maybe it is the best option. The problem with the club I'd be most likely to join is that the rides are LONG.

actually, two years ago I do remember having to sit out some Minneapolis City SC matches. I just don't have two hours for the games, I guess. Ugh.

It would be nice if the #MCSC matches were just on the weekends. I guess that would make for a much longer season and since a lot of the players play in college, that's not really an option.
It also would be nice if the games were earlier. I always get home after my bedtime. I could just watch online, and I have done that in past years, but I have season tickets. I feel like I should go. I like going to the games, it just throws everything off.

Wendy is trying to refinance the condo, and it's like "I AM LOOKING FOR JOBS". I am particularly bad at contect-switching. I was always best at summer school because you only take a class or two and can focus. I think this was a large part of the failure of #FCM. I think diversification was good, but we didn't have enough people actively maintaining sites. We were always torn between #freesoftware and getting more content too. The #freeculture vs. #cc thing was an issue too. Ultimately, I made a lot of bad choices about people that should be involved. That work directly led to blocSonic, which could still prove to be a good thing. So far, I've been really disappointed in what we have been able to offer the CC community. However, since like 99.99% of what is on blocSonic is CC, it is additional exposure for those tracks. We are looking into doing sampler CDs of CC music in the vinyl we produce, so that will be a big step forward. Still, it would be nice to be putting actual dollars in musicians hands.
