@johnadams I haven't had many dog encounters. I'll speed up when I do get chased. Although I heard, like you mentioned, that stop and confront is a good option.

I was in the Francis Marion forest a couple of weeks ago and road by a group of wild boars. I wondered what I would have done if they had started chasing me. I hear they can be aggressive.
