     @michcioperz @musicmatze They don't have to be exactly the same thing to be compared. The comparison here is not between IM services, or between social network services, it's between communication services, and contrasting centralization to decentralization.

     @musicmatze @michcioperz Uh actually comparing this comparison to comparing apples to oranges is pretty apropos, as apples and oranges are both fruits and there are several ways of comparing them that are perfectly valid.
