   Tonight, I experienced two significant cultural differences between France and the United States:

   • Vegetable soup contains pasta ⁉️ In France, vegetable soup contains only, well, vegetables.
   • There's only one spoon size, and teaspoon and tablespoon just are units of measurement ⁉️⁉️ In France, there are small spoons for breakfast, coffee and desserts, and large spoons for soup.

     @hypolite So which spoon is it they lack? They don't have teaspoons or they don't have tablespoons?
     
     But I'm pretty sure I had a tea spoon in my chocolate mug and a tablespoon in my milk and cereals when I was over there last century.
